USA - PepsiCo is expanding its flavor horizons with the launch of Drips by Pepsi, a new crafted beverage experience that promises to elevate its best-selling products.
This innovative offering taps into the growing trend of customized drink creations, providing consumers with a premium experience through unique recipes developed by expert mixologists.
Drips by Pepsi brings a fresh twist to familiar PepsiCo products, including Pepsi, Mtn Dew, Rockstar, and Lipton Iced Tea. These classic beverages are enhanced with a variety of mix-ins such as fruit syrups, creams, popping boba, fruits, and berries, allowing for a personalized and flavorful experience.
“Consumers, especially Gen Z, are increasingly seeking crafted beverages that offer new flavors, combinations, and colors. They are eager to experiment, often with our products at the center,” Scott Finlow, Chief Marketing Officer of PepsiCo Away From Home, explained the motivation behind this initiative.
“Drips by Pepsi is designed to tap into these trends and enhance PepsiCo’s capabilities in this space, enabling us to better meet the evolving needs of our consumers and customers.”
The Drips by Pepsi truck will make its debut in New York City, a hub known for its culinary experimentation, during select weekends and events in September.
The pop-up will first appear at Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage in Central Park on September 12. It will then move to Domino Park at the Williamsburg waterfront from September 14 to September 29, operating on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 7pm.
“Drips by Pepsi represents years of innovation and recipe development, delivering unique flavors to consumers across the country. By leveraging our extensive beverage portfolio, including sodas, teas, energy drinks, and more, we can create a limitless array of enticing combinations for our fans,” Chef Kyle Shadix, PepsiCo's Corporate Executive Research Chef for Global Beverages, added.
PepsiCo's products are consumed over one billion times daily in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
The company reported over US$91 billion in net revenue for 2023, driven by its diverse portfolio of beverages and convenient foods.
This includes well-known brands such as Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Quaker, and SodaStream, many of which generate over US$1 billion in annual retail sales.
